Description

Due to an ancient rule, you have been given the opportunity to play for a second chance at life. One of you takes on the role of the recently deceased while the other plays as Death itself.

Each piece you take during the chess match lets you ask a question of the other player. As the deceased, you might ask about how you died, how your loved ones are handling it, what happens next, and more. As Death you might ask about their life, their hopes and regrets, what they believe in, etc. Through this the two of you build a shared world and history together over a slow and reflective game of chess.

This game does require you to actually play chess but there are plenty of free online chess websites for those of you that don’t own a chessboard.
