What is ISBN COFFEE?
We have compiled a beautiful book, to accompany our select blend from Dick’s Bean Bar.
In the book, expect some:

- History. A five minute history of coffee from an expert in the field.
- Art. Coffee related photography and art.
- Games! We have short RPGs and even a mini-game about running your own coffee shop, to play whilst the coffee brews.
- Poetry. Several caff and decaff poetry options!

The Idea
It’s been a persistent proposition, floating around since the very first days of BEYOND CATACLYSM: “Why not print a bag of coffee beans with an ISBN number?”
The obvious flaw was you aren’t actually allowed to do that—ISBNs are for books, and books alone. The solution was simple enough: no one can stop us writing a book, then stamping that number on both!
We told some people. It turns out that the Venn diagram of people that love coffee and love books seems to overlap just the right amount. Everyone liked the concept as much as us, so we pushed ahead.
The Book
Inside you’ll find submissions from across the globe in the form of poetry, prose and play. Read a tale of coffee shops in Cape Town or Venice, revel in poems about the humble bean and its effect upon our senses and emotions. Play a game with real coffee beans as counters and the book as your board. There is so much to enjoy here as you imbibe. This beautiful coffee table book has a softcover and is sewn bound so that it will lay open nicely on your table.
