What have we been up to?

Contingency & Playtesting

Chris attended Contingency this month and had a total blast meeting folks and playing more games than anyone ever should in a 48 hr period! One of the highlights was Dragonbane.

During the course of the weekend Chris was able to get in a couple of playtest sessions for our new MÖRK ORG games, which we’ll be publishing later this year. These went down well and in one game the players decided that, instead of killing the CEO, they’d switch sides and join the evil overlord! You can still back this over on the Mork Org Kickstarter

What’s next?

Apart from the obvious work we are continuing to put into writing, collecting contributions and laying out MÖRK ORG we have a number of exciting things on the horizon in the next few months

Airecon

We’ll have a stall at Airecon in Harrogate this March. We’ve just completed a special game that will be given out to every person attending! If your attending come and find us and we’ll sign your copy.

Fulfilments

We’ve got two fulfilments in the short-term pipeline and at least four on the horizon in 2025. Next up is Tribute from Christian Eichhorn. It’s been great watching this side of the business really grow over the past year or so. Our favourite part is building relationships with other indie RPG creators and getting to see all the incredibly cool stuff they make. If you receive a fulfilment parcel from us please share on social media, we really enjoy interacting with the backers and seeing the joy that our parcels bring!

Lucky for None IN SPACE

After the run away success of the Lucky for None Kickstarter and it’s ongoing popularity with gamers at conventions we decided it was high time for a follow up. A space themed follow up no less! It will follow the rules light comedy horror rules set out in the original game and come with a very cool d13 dice. We’ll be launching this later in the year and would love it if you’d follow the pre-launch page on Kickstarter

Reading

1632 is a fascinating series about a small modern American town being transported back to mid 1640s Germany in the middle of the 30 Years War. Crazy stories of bin lorries taking on cavalry and a total upheaval of European history. Loads of books and add on stories written by fans that have been absorbed into the canon lore of the series too. It’s breath-taking!

On Anarchism by Noam Chomsky – a helpful introduction to Chomsky’s ‘hopeful anarchy’ which escues the violent and fiercely individualist version of Anarchy that people like John Lydon made popular in the late 20th Century. I firmly believe that collectivism and anarcho-syndicalism is the way forward in a world that has become stagnant and hopeless under the constraints of capitalism and it’s underpinning political systems.
