Description
Thieves of the Tome is a spell heist game played using real books. Characters, spells, and adventures are all created picking random books around you.
Every system in this game is book-driven, from spellcasting to action resolution to GM session planning. The book you bring to the table will have a massive impact on the game you play. Players will:

Write spells for another player to cast using the book you brought to the table.

Create characters that reflect the book you stole based on Adjectives, Items, Destiny, and Dooms.

Cast spells that are completely unknown, written by another player, and extremely powerful.

Improvise their way to escape through a simple D6 pool resolution mechanic that always ties back to the Tomes.
The GM uses a book to run the game. This allows them to set the game in nearly any genre. The GM has a massive toolbox to play with:

x3 Modules that are genre-agnostic, and change based on the book the GM uses.

Antagonists that are shaped by your tome.

Madlib-like tables that allow the GM to generate quick content based on their book. The Palette, a tool for constructing heavily improvised adventures.
