CLVSTER (Death in Space)

Description

Urania-76 [COMMONLY REFERED TO AS “THE CLVSTER”] is an accumulation of asteroids and defunct space vessels, artificially adjusted to the same velocity and orbit around a unremarkable parent star. Prospectors and washed up criminals dwell in a handful of run-down settlements and hideouts; various mining infrastructures (in use and defunct) dot the CLVSTER.  Most recently, connection with Urania-76 was lost. A dense gas or accumulation of ultrafine particulate matter [dust] has enveloped and engulfed the region [THE CLOUD]. No signal passes into or out of the Cloud, or at least that is what those in the know assume. All attempts at communication have been left unanswered. Furthermore, no scanners can penetrate to probe and analyse, no radiation (but most useless infrared) escapes Urania-76.
