In Why We Fight you will each build a Crew of 4 characters from the Community Alliance, a growing movement of eco-punk communities creating a more just and compassionate world.
You’ll learn who they are and what they care about as you discover vibrant communities, and a natural world untamed. Travel through rewilding lands, safe-guard people and nature, and push back against the White Fist, a fascist militia trying to force people back into their dystopian society.
GMless, designed for soloplay and up to five players, with zero-prep. You’ll have a Crew and Mission started within 15 minutes, allowing you to save lives, prevent disaster and create a new balance.
Get Creative on the go and gain the advantage even as the underdog in fast-paced, tactical, guerrilla style combat where your enemies adapt to your actions as they fight to complete their own Objectives.
Using a designed-for-purpose, lightweight system (PbtA meets FATE) developed with new school revolution (NSR) attitude and perspective, players will each take on a team of four guerilla freedom-fighters that need to work together to resist the predatory power-grab of the Guiding Hand, whose propaganda disguises the rampant destruction of their paramilitary raiders, the White Fist.
As your Crew discover and safeguard a vibrant and changing world, they’ll save lives and protect those who can’t stand up for themselves, help struggling refugees and the havens they’ve made, and build a thriving, self-sustaining solar-punk community, all while pushing back against a force that seeks to blame the powerless for the actions of those who had everything.
As they travel, your Crew learn about each others passions and beliefs, but also the Hardships they face. Yet it’s by working with each others strengths and fighting for what we love that we can better overcome the adversity we face, and make a safer, greener, sustainable world for all.
